Occasionally, there appears a musician whose daring, originality and technical mastery simply bowl us over. That's what American saxophonist Colin Stetson accomplished with his remarkable album
New History Warfare, Vol. 2: Judges, nominated for last year's Polaris Prize. Now based in Montreal, he's won over Laurie Anderson, Tom Waits and Arcade Fire, who rank among his collaborators. In his first visit to the Festival, Stetson rides in to showcase his talents in a solo performance.
