With every appearance, the great Oliver Jones offers us, in sight and sound, the very finest the piano has to offer. A true giant of jazz, he returns after his vibrant tribute to Oscar Peterson last year. For this exceptional concert, this Montreal icon will offer pieces from his own repertoire, joined by another living legend with whom he shared a Festival stage in 1999: vibraphonist Peter Appleyard, pillar of the Canadian jazz scene who collaborated with such major names as Calvin Jackson and Benny Goodman, and who will be presented with the 2012 Oscar Peterson Award.
