Sought out by David Byrne and Björk, the band is led by brilliant and capricious composer Dave Longstreth, a savant with a mad streak who conceives and creates the most improbable stylistic collisions. Aggressive rock and classical music, African polyrhythms and bubblegum pop, nothing is beyond his interest or their ability. Such albums as
