Immersed in the tradition of Brazilianmusic, reggae, funk and African rhythms, this young artist was crownedrevelation of Montreal’s African Nights Festival of Music in 2010. That sameyear he also won the Montreal Arts Council’s Diversity Award. His world-beatmusic combines percussion, trumpet and texts that sail between Brazilian Portuguese,French and English. Ribeiro: a talent to discover.
