After writing hits for over 10 years for his band, The Commodores, and other artists, Lionel Richie went solo in the early 80s. By late 1986, he had racked up three multi-platinum albums and a dozen Top 10 hits. Can’t Slow Down (1983) alone produced five hit songs, including the timeless “All Night Long” and “Hello”.
Even after 40 years, Lionel Richie shows no signs of slowing down. His recent album featuring country versions of his greatest hits, Tuskegee, has topped the charts since its release and in September, he starts a world tour. The Festival is extremely fortunate to welcome this great pop artist for an exclusive Canadian concert!
