Initiated at a very early age to music and percussions, Élage Diouf left Senegal with his brother in 1996. The singer-songwriter and percussionist worked on a number of projects with local musicians when he arrived in Québec, including Les Colocs and Ariane Moffatt. His original approach and ability to integrate Senegalese musical traditions with the music of Québec sets him apart on the world beat scene. In May 2010, he released his first solo album, Aksil, an authentic world beat album whose diversity characterizes his rich musical background. (Source: official site)
