Think: revamped Motown girl group, or maybe: soul vocal quartet with a dash of French pop. These chic girls know how to play the nostalgia card in the coolest and most charming possible way.
With this unorthodox formula of four chanteuses (from Winnipeg) and one percussionist (from Montreal), Chic Gamine has had an impressive record so far, including the 2009 Juno for the Best Roots Album for their self-named album, and their performance the following year for the entire world at the Vancouver Olympics.
They're now poised to take on the American market with their third album and Québec audiences with their deliciously retro and oddly refreshing sound!
