Winner of the JUNO award for vocal jazz album of the year in 2008, Sophie Milman must be one of the best known names in Canadian jazz.
Born in Russia, she grew up in Israel before coming to live in Canada at the age of 16. Barely five years later, she brought out her self-titled debut album to critical acclaim. Sophie Milman has since made “candlelight jazz” her own with her latest album, In the Moonlight (2011), that earned her another JUNO nomination. Get ready to fall under the spell of this superb artist!
