CAFÉ SCIENTIFIQUE Avoiding medication errors: How can we do better?
Researchers are working to provide answers about this growing concern and to find better solutions. How might incomplete information about your medications lead to complications? Does the frequent transfer of patients between care settings and the increasing number of medications taken by patients cause adverse drug events? Can electronic tools prevent such errors?
Come and join the discussion with three experts in the field:
Dr. Ewa Sidorowicz, Director of Professional services, McGill University Health Centre (MUHC)
Dr. Allen Huang, Geriatrician, Royal Victoria Hospital, MUHC and Researcher, McGill University
Dr. Christian Rochefort, Registered Nurse and Researcher, McGill University
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Robert Perreault, Associate Professor Faculty of Medicine, McGill University Director, Montreal Public Health Directorate
Bilingual discussion (english presentation) – Free Entrance – Snacks will be served
