John Grimaldi’s stage name is from a Studebaker automobile which he is the proud owner. Born in Chicago, the bluesman began playing harmonica at the age of seven. He will later move on guitar after hearing Hound Dog Taylor. In the 1970s, the artist performs with a blues-rock group he called The Hawks. Studebaker John plays in Europe and many American festivals. Thereafter, the musician make his reputation as a pillar of the blues through many tours and recordings. He is one of the most spectacular performer of today’s blues artists.
