The Vincent Gagnon quintet presents Himalaya in concert, featuring their latest compositions from the new album of the same name. These rather simple tunes tend toward a playful style of swing, with plenty of room for improvisation. Vincent Gagnon is one of the most sought after pianists on the Québec jazz scene. Described by journalists Stanley Péan as “...the revelation of the Festival de Jazz de Québec 2009,” and Catherine-Ève Gadoury as “…Québec's best jazz pianist, ” Vincent Gagnon has been playing the jazz scene for over 10 years.
