Born in Vancouver, Eric Yick-Keung San, alias Kid Koala, now calls Montreal home. He worked almost ten years as a nightclub DJ before London's experimental hip hop label Ninja Tune picked him up.
Having mastered the art of scratch and sampling, Kid Koala is living proof that a turntable is a musical instrument in its own right. With his caustic humour, he plays the decks like nobody else. Trigger-happy Kid Koala is a rockin' genius of slow funk, a crazy veteran of sampling whose stories are the deadliest weapon in the Ninja Tune arsenal.
