Plaster is made up of keyboardist Alex McMahon and drummers Jean-Phi Goncalves and François Plante, who got together in Montreal in 2001 because they wanted to play a different style of electronic music. Onstage, the three musicians bring an original dimension to the genre by harmonizing it with conventional instruments. After the jazzy sound of their first album, the band has moved toward a more explosive, foot-tapping rock style in their second.
