The Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project was created when some Quebeckers who were travelling in southwest China in 2007 met and settled there. Ever since, the band from Lac St-Jean has been introducing the pleasures of bluegrass to their new compatriots. In 2010, Québec Redneck recorded their warmly-received first album, Sweat mama yeah!
Think of a cross between Les Colocs at the time of their first album, Lake of Stew, and the United Steel Workers of Montreal: you just can't sit still to this happy blend of vaguely anti-establishment songs!
