“My name is Luka... I live on the second floor”. Anyone who's been following New York artist Suzanne Vega for the past 25 years or so probably remember her for her 1987 hit, “Luka”. Others have discovered her from the hip-hop remix of her a capella song, “Tom’s Diner”.
Despite a career path marked by a few changes along the way, Suzanne Vega has always had a loyal fan base who appreciated her authenticity and sincerity. Not to mention the enduring finesse and sensitivity of her folk pop music.
Suzanne Vega is a singer-songwriter who should resonate with more than one festival fan on the Plains this July evening.
