Katee Julien, one of the Quebec City area's most talented performers who gained public acclaim notably for her role in Les Misérables from 2008 to 2010, offers a tribute to the great Édith Piaf at the Cabaret du Capitole on February 15.
Accompanied by four musicians, Katee succeeds in making the singer's life her own on stage while bringing to light that above and beyond her torment and addiction, the Kid Sparrow was deeply in love with love itself and that her quest was truly the pursuit of happiness. Ms. Julien lends her magnificent voice to such timeless classics as L'hymne à l'amour, La vie en rose, Non, je ne regrette rien, Mon Dieu, Milord and many more.
Pursuing a solo career as a singer of jazz and popular music, Katee has three albums under her belt. She has participated in several revues and musicals (Danse Sing, Les fous du rock'n'roll, Noël à Québec and Roméo et Juliette) and among other things was the opening act for both Charles Aznavour and Mario Pelchat. She has performed the world over, including stops in Paris, the United States, Bosnia, Israel, Egypt and Lebanon.
