ExpoCité, which until 1997 was known as the Provincial Exhibition Commission, was created on February 2, 1912. Over the past century, the site has played host to a vast number of events and happenings, sparking a host of thrills and memories in the process.
There have been so many remarkable achievements at each of the buildings that stand—or once stood—on the 375,000 m2 ExpoCité site. Not only the spectacular feats of singers, musicians, acrobats, and athletes who have wowed the crowds, but also of the scores of skilled tradespeople, technicians, and managers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure each and every show is truly memorable.
Over the decades, the site has resonated with the laughter, shouts of joy, pride, excitement, and astonishment of millions of visitors.
We salute all of you who have helped make ExpoCité what it is today as we kick off the festivities marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Exhibition Commission.
