Karen Young was introduced to vocal jazz with the repertoire of the famous American bebop band Lambert, Hendricks and Ross (LH&R) while singing with the Bug Alley Band in the 70s. This tribute concert features the Young family in a vocal quartet. Karen Young, her brother, Doug Young, and his daughter, Isabelle Young, join chanteuse Lana Carbonneau and celebrated double bass player Norman Lachapelle in songs by John Hendricks. The lyrics written by the LH&R bandleader are put to the music of Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, John Coltrane and many others.
