Jeremy Pelt is certainly one of the most gifted trumpeters of the current generation. He joins in the long and rich tradition of Hard-Bop, of trumpeters like Clifford Brown and, later, Wynton Marsalis, while seeking, such as Marcus Printup and Terell Stafford, to renew the genre. He combines admirably virtuosity, emotion and swing. After some noticed records on Mack Avenue (Soul, Closed to my Heart and November), Pelt recorded two albums under the Highnote label (Men of Honor and The Talented Mr. Pelt) which brought him to consecration. In Quebec, he will perform along with tenor saxophonist Roxy Coss, pianist David Bryant, double bassist Dwayne Burno and drummer Jonathan Barber.
